143-004: Study on fatigue reduction

Study Recruitment

NIS Labs is looking for women and men – ages 18-75, BMI 18-35 – to participate in a clinical study. Participants must be experiencing fatigue for at least the past months that moderately to severely interferes with daily activities. 

The study requires participants to consume a nutritional product daily for 8 weeks. At study start, one week, 4 weeks and at the end of the 8 week study participants will come to NIS Labs to complete fatigue and wellness questionnaires and record their blood pressure.  Blood will be drawn at study start, the 4 week and 8 week visits.

079-007 Blood sugar response associated with consumption of pu-erh tea

Study Recruitment

NIS Labs is looking for women and men – ages 18-60, BMI 20-30 – to participate in a clinical study.   The study requires each participant to consume 3 different doses of Pu-erh tea or water with a bland meal of soda crackers during separate weekly visits to NIS Labs.

There will be 7 visits to NIS Labs:

  • At visit 1, blood pressure will be measured, an ECG will be performed and a blood draw done to verify fasting blood glucose is between 70 and 125 mg/dL.
  • At visits 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, Pu-erh tea or water will be consumed with a bland meal of soda crackers, blood pressure will be measured, a questionnaire completed and blood draws done.
  • At visit 7, blood pressure will be measured and a blood draw performed.

Study Recruitment

NIS Labs is looking for women and men – ages 30-75, BMI 20-35 – to participate in a clinical study. Participants must be experiencing chronic pain in one or more anatomical areas for at least the past 6 months.

The study requires participants to consume a nutritional product daily for 8 weeks. At study start, at the 2 week visit and at the end of the 8 week study participants will come to NIS Labs to complete health and wellness questionnaires, record their blood pressure and have their blood drawn.

Study Recruitment

NIS Labs is looking for healthy women and men – ages 20-75, BMI below 35 – to participate in a clinical study assessing the effects of a nutraceutical blend on stem cell activity.

The study requires participants to make 4 visits to NIS Labs one week apart.  Each visit will last approximately 3 hours and will require participants to sit quietly during the visit.  During the visit participants will:

–         consume a test product,

–         have blood pressure recorded,

–         have 3 blood draws,

–         complete questionnaires.

[Recruiting closed] 119-004 Alkaline ionized water: Sports recovery and inflammation management

Study Recruitment

NIS Labs is looking for healthy men – ages 25-40, BMI 19-30, who are not regularly exercising – to participate in a clinical study.  The study evaluates the effects of consumption of a nutritional product on sports recovery and inflammation management.

The study requires participants to consume tap water for three weeks and alkaline water for one week.  At the beginning of the study there will be a fitness assessment.  At the end of the second week and at the end of fourth week there will be an exercise challenge.  At the two week and four week visits study participants will:

–         Complete three questionnaires,

–         Have blood pressure recorded,

–         Have six lactate finger-stick readings,

–         Have three blood draws (each blood draw is approximately 2 tablespoons).

[Recruiting closed] 008-033 Blood sugar regulation associated with consumption of a supplement: 30 week study

Study Recruitment

NIS Labs is looking for healthy men and women, between the ages of 18 and 70, to participate in a placebo controlled clinical trial. The clinical trial evaluates the effects of natural product blends on insulin regulation. Participants need to have a fasting blood glucose level from 104 to 125 mg/dl

The study requires participants to consume either a nutritional supplement or placebo daily for 24 weeks, and return for a follow-up visit at week 30.  Participants will visit the lab for a screening, baseline visit and again at 2, 4, 12, 24 and 30 weeks to complete a health questionnaire and provide a blood sample.
